In Maui, Hawaii there is a new thrift store that has opened, Keiki Kokua. It is a non-profit organization that offers assistance to foster families, adoptive families, and grandparents and other relatives raising children. They offer various programs and services.
When I read the article in the Wailuku, HI newspaper on-line. I thought "YES." Like I have mentioned in previous posts, we must do something more than wait on the government to provide for those in need.
I hope those who live in or visit Maui will shop at their store and support their efforts and those in need will contact them as well. Their direct website is http://www.keikikokua.org/
I love reading stories like this.
